D&D Holiday Studios are on the sea front of Potos, a cosmopolitan village in the south western part of Thassos. It is a small family run business with four apartments, located in a quiet area, between two beaches both of which are ideal for swimming, snorkelling and sunbathing. The picturesque port of Potos (in front of d&d Holiday Studios) is a fisherman’s delight and ideal for the afternoon stroll. All the shopping facilities of the village (supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants etc.) are not more than 300 metres from us. Free public parking is available in front of the studios.

What was once a small fishing village has now become a cosmopolitan tourist attraction. Potos satisfies all the desires – long sandy beaches with crystal clear waters, fish taverns and other restaurants, cafeterias and beach bars line the shore. Potos could serve as the starting point for all excursions around the island. The relaxing atmosphere that prevails during the day converts into a music filled night life as the sun goes down. From all four apartments at d&d Holiday Studios you have the most fantastic sea view with Mount Athos in the distance. All our apartments are spacious and can comfortably accommodate couples or families from two to five persons. Although the kitchens are all fully equipped, you may also choose to use the barbecue which is provided. The neat communal and well looked after small garden gives the guests the opportunity to relax and enjoy their holidays.
APARTMENT 2
Apartment 2 is on the ground floor and consists of two inter-leading rooms. In the one room there is a double bed and a single bed and in the other room there are two single beds, the bathroom and a fully equipped kitchenette. Apartment 2 leads onto a terrace and the garden where you can enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon sundowner while the sun sets. WiFi, television and air-conditioning are all included in the price. A hairdryer is also provided. The apartment is serviced regularly during your stay and refreshed with clean bedding and towels.

The history of Thassos is visible in the ruins and museums that are found around the island. The ancient Amphitheatre, the ancient market, the archaeological museum and various other ruins and findings in Limenas will be most informative. You will also be impressed by a visit to the archaeological site of Aliki a destination not to be missed. Theologos, a traditional mountain village, 10 kms from Potos, attracts many tourists who enjoy an afternoon walk in the narrow cobbled roads on their way to visit the church of Saint Dimitrios dating back to 1802, the folklore museum Hatzigeorgi and to enjoy a meal in one of the many tavernas.
For those interested in visiting the monasteries, there are three on the island, each one different in its own way. All the villages have their own character and history to tell. A drive around the island is only 90 kilometers and is well worth while.
Directions
From the Airport
Despite the fact that Thassos does not have an airport, tourists can travel to the international airport of Chrisoupoli (Kavala) which is only a 20 minute drive to the port of Keramoti. There are daily flights from Athens and from other Greek cities. Many European cities, during the summer months have direct flights to the airport Megas Alexandros in Chrisoupoli (Kavala).
By Ferry Boat/Car
To get to Thassos there are two ports from the mainland. One from Kavala and the other from Keramoti. From Kavala:
This ferry gets to the town of Prinos on Thassos.
There are not many ferries a day and the trip takes about 1hour and 30 mins.
From Prinos to Potos the distance is about 30 kms.
From Keramoti:
This ferry gets to the town Limenas
This ferry boat takes about 40mins and there are ferry boats every 45 mins
When you get to Limenas , Potos is 45 kms away.
How to get to d&d Holiday Studios
Once on the island,you must follow the road signs that say PRINOS – LIMENARIA – POTOS.
After Limenaria there is a small village called Pefkari and straight after that you are in Potos. At the entrance of Potos there is a big hotel on your right called ALEXANDRA BEACH HOTEL. You continue straight until you get to a BP petrol station on your right. When you see a supermarket on your left you will see a small road that turns right. you turn right there and continue straight until you see the sea. This road is narrow. When you get to the beach you can only turn right and then you carry on straight. With the sea on your left, after 100 metres you have reached your destination.
